Through our training with hundreds of clients, our experience has taught us that Fall Prevention training is the most important step a senior can take to create and maintain a safer life. We offer two (2) Fall Prevent programs: S.A.I.L Fall Prevention & Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance.

S.A.I.L. is a comprehensive evidence-based Fall Prevention exercise class that is designed to prevent falls by focusing on the components of Functional Fitness including aerobics, flexibility, balance and strength training, education and awareness. The S.A.I.L. instructor conducts group functional fitness test and assessment to determine individual’s risk factors, the design of class and the interventions to help modify and change the fall risk of individuals in order to prevent falls.

Tai Chi bannerTai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance Fall Prevention Program

Tai Chi addresses the problems of weight transfer, muscle strength, instability and gait by teaching “correct” posture, body alignment and movement of lower limbs. Tai Chi requires slow movement from one stance to another thereby, training the participant to improve mobility and have increased body awareness. Numerous studies have concluded that Tai Chi is the best and most effective Fall Prevention training program.

Tai Ji Quan is a nationally recognized Evidence-Based fall prevention program featuring enhanced traditional Tai Chi movements designed to help seniors and people with balance challenges avoid falling. The unique training approach includes an eight-form core routine, practice variations, and therapeutic subroutines , developed by Fuzhong Li, Ph.D. Senior Scientist at Oregon Research Institute.
